Weekly Wrap #3: 12/14 – 12/20

We’re linking up with Tricia and Holly for the Weekly Wrap. Here’s a recap of our week: WeeklyWrap

Travis: My goal for the week was to recover from being sick and to get in at least four runs. I met my running goal but am still dealing with a lingering cough that will not subside. I will start training hard again very soon but for now it’s just easy workouts for me.

Monday: I ran a little over 5 miles (7:46 pace) outside for the first time since November 1! It felt great to get out and breathe some fresh air. Midnight shift really puts a damper on outdoor running.

Tuesday : No workout.

Wednesday: 3.10 miles @ 7:54 pace in the middle of the night.

Thursday: 10.00 miles @ 6:53 pace on the treadmill…in the middle of the night. I was originally going to run a half marathon but I just didn’t have the legs after taking it easy since the NYC Marathon.

Friday: 3.61 miles @ 10:21 pace. This was a combination of walking and running to recover from the previous nights effort.

Saturday: No workout.

Sunday: 3.68 miles @ 8:30 pace.

Weekly total: 25.50 miles

Jen:

Monday: 3 miles outside and 21 Day Fix lower fix. This was my first outdoor run since I can’t remember when! After this run I’m definitely going to need to get outside more. It kicked my butt after running on the treadmill for so long.

Tuesday: 21 Day Fix Pilates Fix + abs

Wednesday: 21 Day Fix Cardio Fix + abs

Thursday: 2 miles and 21 Day Fix Dirty 30

Friday: 21 Day Fix Plyo Fix. Friday was birthday date night! We went to a restaurant called the 1844 House. The food was incredible! It was nice to get away for a few hours.

Saturday: 3 miles. We went to lights on the river on Saturday. Parker loved looking at all of the different light displays!

Sunday: OFF

I finished up my first round of the 21 Day Fix. I didn’t think to take measurements before hand but I ended the round down 8.5 lbs which is a win in my book! I love the workouts included in the program and plan to do another round after our vacation. Thankfully my in-laws have weights and a treadmill so I’ll be able to keep up with workouts there as well!

We’ll be hitting the road for Michigan this week. I’m beyond excited to be able to spend Christmas, New Years and the kids birthdays with both of our families. We haven’t been home for the holidays in 10 years so it’s LONG overdue!

  1. I just got over a bout of being sick for a while, its no fun I hope you can get over that last part quickly and enjoy the Holidays!
I hope you don’t mind, I asked Fairytales and Fitness to let me know who you were so I could thank you for the fun Holiday card (snowman workout joke, such a cute holiday card), and gift certificate that was part of the secret blogger card exchange. That gift card will definitely go towards a fabulous new book I’ve been wanting to read:) Thanks again and I want to wish you a very Merry Christmas!!!

  2. My husband works odd hours and it’s just plain difficult sometimes to do certain things. I find running on the TM and running outdoors very different. It’s almost as if it’s not the same activity. So, I gave my treadmill away. 8.5 pounds is a lot of weight to lose. Congratulations! I hope you enjoy your Christmas vacation and visit with your family. Thanks for linking with us!
